A logistics company’s daily reality is this: dozens of vehicles, dozens of drivers, thousands of kilometers — and the record of all that movement is usually kept in spreadsheets that know nothing of one another. More than three million commercial vehicles are on the road in Turkey; the fleet management market grows more than fifteen percent a year. Even so, a significant part of the sector still runs its operations on Excel files and phone traffic. Spectra was built under the Taiga Teknoloji umbrella precisely for this gap: a system that makes the entire fleet visible, measurable, and manageable on a single screen.
Problem
Fleet management’s fundamental problem is not a shortage of vehicles but the absence of an information architecture. Location data lives in one system, fuel receipts in another folder, maintenance history in the mechanic’s notebook, and driver performance in no one’s hands at all. This fragmented structure produces concrete costs: manual tracking widens the margin of error, fuel losses accumulate unnoticed, and missed periodic maintenance turns into breakdowns and unplanned downtime. What the manager holds when making decisions is impression, not data. As the vehicle count grows, that impression only blurs further; operational efficiency drops at exactly the moment growth should be accelerating.
Solution
Spectra unites these scattered layers in a single web-based dashboard. GPS-based real-time tracking maps every vehicle’s location and route history; geofence alerts flag the moment a vehicle leaves its defined boundaries. The fuel module monitors consumption, detects anomalies such as theft and leakage, and automates cost analysis. Maintenance planning runs on mileage-based reminders, making intervention before the breakdown possible rather than repair after it. On the driver side, driving behavior is analyzed and a performance score is produced for every driver — measurement takes the place of evaluation by intuition.
System
The platform was designed for enterprise use with role-based access control and secure sign-in; cloud-based data storage and an API layer let it integrate with third-party systems. The responsive interface gives a manager in the field the same level of control from a mobile device. The product is organized around five main modules:
- Vehicle tracking, fuel management, maintenance planning, driver management, and reporting
The reporting layer produces customizable output; graphical dashboards export to Excel and PDF, and periodic reports are sent automatically. The target audience is wide: from logistics and courier companies to rent-a-car operators, from municipalities to construction firms — organizations of every scale that manage a vehicle fleet. The Turkish interface, fast setup, and integration with the Taiga ecosystem form the lines that set the product apart from established vehicle tracking providers.
If a fleet has outgrown Excel, so should its management tool. Spectra gathers an operation scattered across different spreadsheets and different people’s memories into a single digital control center.
