At Marketing Live 2026, Google announced a package that moves its ad stack toward an agent architecture. At the center is Ask Advisor, a Gemini-based agent unifying Google Ads, Analytics, Merchant Center and Marketing Platform in a single interface, handling campaign analysis, recommendations and execution through conversation. New ad formats that adapt instantly to query context in AI Search were also introduced.
The package further includes a revamped Asset Studio connected to Gemini models, plus the Universal Commerce Protocol and Universal Cart infrastructure aimed at agentic commerce. Per CMSWire’s assessment, the announcements are part of Google’s strategy to rebuild its marketing ecosystem as an end-to-end AI-native architecture.
